Staf Kemenkum Dicatut Sebagai Pengurus IKA PMII di Pimpinan Fathan Subchi

Fathan Subchi, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (Ketum PB IKA PMII) for the 2025-2030 period, has finalized the formation of the management board for this term. However, a controversy arose when Carman Ansari Ear Latief, Special Staff at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, felt that his name was wrongfully included in the board. In a statement to the press on Thursday, Carman expressed his gratitude for the opportunity but respectfully declined the inclusion in the PB IKA PMII management under Fathan’s leadership.

Carman emphasized his decision as a way to maintain neutrality and avoid conflicts of interest in his capacity within the ministry. He stated that he aims to uphold the dignity of both PB IKA PMII and the ministry, considering the ongoing dynamics within the organization.

The dispute over the election of the Chairman of IKA PMII arose from conflicting claims during the National Conference (Munas). While some parties argued for the validity of the plenary session that reportedly elected the chairman, the meeting had been adjourned by the session chair.

Akhmad Muqowam, the incumbent Chairman of IKA PMII, visited the Ministry of Law and Human Rights office in South Jakarta to address the unresolved issues following the postponement of the seventh National Conference. He clarified that no official agenda was set during the adjourned Plenary Session IV, which was meant to discuss the election regulations and the formation of the board.

Muqowam reaffirmed that as the rightful Chairman, pending the continuation of the conference, he had not resigned from his position. Meanwhile, Fathan Subchi, who proceeded with the formation of a new committee, declared himself as the newly elected Chairman of the Alumni Association of the Islamic Student Movement of Indonesia (IKA PMII).
